South Africa’s young entrepreneurs, innovators and changemakers are getting ready for one of the biggest celebrations of youth-led excellence on the business and cultural calendar.
The Top 16 Youth-Owned Brands Awards (YOBA) 2026 returns on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, bringing together some of the country’s most inspiring young business minds for an evening dedicated to entrepreneurship, innovation, resilience and excellence.
Now in its fifth annual edition, YOBA has established itself as a platform that shines a spotlight on youth-owned brands and the people behind them. The organisers describe the awards as “the gold standard of youth excellence.”
This year's celebration is particularly significant as YOBA marks five years of recognising the young people who are building businesses, creating opportunities and contributing to South Africa's economy.
