Bassline Fest is thrilled to announce a grand celebration for Africa Day, featuring the queen of Afro soul, Lira, on the 25th of May at Constitution Hill. This performance marks a significant milestone for Lira, as it is her first show with a full band after a two-year recovery from a stroke. The event promises a spectacular showcase of female talent from across the African continent, including performances by Maleh from Lesotho, Tanzania’s Kadilida alongside her producer Jay Mitta, and Moroccan artist Rita Kamale. Additionally, the Dance Africa Stage will host incredible DJs to keep the energy high throughout the day and night.
The festival kicks off at 2 pm and continues until late, with tickets available from Ticketmaster. Early bird tickets have already sold out, but general admission tickets are still available at R320, with a special rate of R100 for children under the age of 12.
